A Lecture on Special Relativity

The lecture conjured vicious time and space
That preyed on pure equations past their prime.
I kept Sir Maxwell's classic laws encased,
Held safe within a chest of age sublime.
Prof bounced a sample charge off Coulomb's vest.
Sparks bartered where the woof and when the warp.
Tomorrow buzzed and snapped in Maxwell's chest.
When danced on where Lorentz once were, transformed.
Hands juggled Einstein's energy and mass.
Chalk spun the space electromagnets claw.
He summed a declaration for the class,
"Behold the waves of Maxwell's churning laws."
I poured my wonder's eyes into the chest,
And saw the self-same lecture hall, compressed.
